After the success of our first talk, we are all set for our second lecture - FROM the 1850s TILL INDEPENDENCE This talk is based on research into the founding of the School of Arts and Crafts by Dr Alexander Hunter, its initial years and its primary focus as an institution of Industrial production. As well as the conversion of the school into a fine arts college by D P Roy Chaudhary and the introduction of modern art in Madras.
