Prints & Multiples

Print-making came to India in the 17th century, but developed a means of dissemination of art material, as medium of art, and as a means of dissemination of ideology and knowledge. Printing technologies came to be widely used for publishing books, publicity material, propaganda, art-works, calendars, labels and decorative material. Ashvita's offers a breadth of Indian prints and multiples from the early 20th century that span artists, movements, styles and cultures and includes etchings, lithographs, oleographs, as well as offset printed material.
